About this template
Suits line marking contractors who mark roads with trucks and hand machines. It covers the traffic management plan, preparing the truck and materials, traffic control set-up, pavement preparation, truck and hand marking, hot thermoplastic, protecting wet lines, clean-up and removal. Traffic control has its own SWMS, and car park line marking needs a separate one.
Work on, in or adjacent to a road in use by traffic, and work where powered mobile plant moves, are high risk construction work (WHS Regulation s 291(n) and (o)), so those items are ticked. Tick the other items the job involves, for example the contaminated or flammable atmosphere item when solvent use creates a flammable atmosphere, the item for chemical, fuel or refrigerant lines, or the contaminated atmosphere item if grinding off old markings creates silica dust.
