Disclaimer

Please read this before downloading or using any of our templates.

We work hard to make our safe work method statements (SWMS) and other safety documents practical, accurate and
suited to Queensland work. Please read this disclaimer before you download or use any of our templates or rely on our
guides.

Templates are a starting point

Every workplace and job is different, so we can't guarantee that a template will meet every legal requirement or
suit the conditions of your site as it is. Before you use any template, it's your responsibility to:

  • review the whole document and conduct your own risk assessment;
  • consult your workers and anyone else affected by the work;
  • change the document to suit your work, site, plant and people; and
  • check it against the legislation, regulations and codes of practice that apply to your work.

Work health and safety laws and guidance change over time, so review your documents regularly and keep them up to
date.

General information, not advice

Our guides and website content are general information only. They aren't legal or professional advice and may not
cover your circumstances. If you need advice about your obligations, speak to a qualified professional or contact
WorkSafe Queensland.

We're independent

Work Safety QLD is a privately owned business. We aren't affiliated with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland or
the Queensland Government.

Other websites

Some pages link to other businesses' websites, and some posts mention businesses we have a commercial relationship
with. A mention doesn't mean a product or service will suit your work, and we don't control other websites or their
content.

Liability

Our templates come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in this
disclaimer limits those rights. Apart from those guarantees, and to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any
indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our templates, guides or website. Our
Terms and Conditions explain our liability in full.
