About this template
Suits fencing, scaffolding and civil contractors and builders who install hoarding and gates around construction sites in built-up areas. It follows the work in order, from planning the hoarding line and locating services to traffic and pedestrian controls, footings, lifting, bracing, sheeting, gates and inspection. Temporary site fencing is covered by a separate SWMS.
Work in an area where powered mobile plant moves is high risk construction work (WHS Regulation s 291(o)), so that item is ticked. Also tick the others the job involves: work on or beside a road in use, a fall of more than 2 metres when fixing at height, a trench or shaft deeper than 1.5 metres, or energised electrical services.
