About this template
A form a remote pilot completes for each job and each flight day. It checks the legal conditions that apply before flying, records the site hazards and controls, and ends with a go / no-go decision, sign-off and a post-flight record. It suits drone operators, surveyors, inspectors and any business that flies a drone for work in Queensland.
What Is Included In Our Drone Pre-Flight Site Risk Assessment & Checklist?
- Part A, done once per job or site: job, pilot and aircraft details, legal hard stops from the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations and the Part 101 Manual of Standards, and approval and airspace checks
- Part A site checks: people near the flight and the 30 metre rule, overhead power lines, structures and radio interference, and privacy checks for imagery and audio
- Part A hazard and control table with four worked hazards and blank rows, emergency plan, reports to consider and sign-off
- Part B, a two page flight day checklist to print for every flight day: weather with space for the manufacturer’s limits, aircraft and battery pre-flight checks, crew briefing and go / no-go decision
- Part B flight and battery log, post-flight record, incidents and who was notified, and sign-off
