About this template
A fill-in asbestos management plan for the person with management or control of a workplace where asbestos is identified, assumed or likely to be present. It follows the four items the Work Health and Safety Regulation says a plan must include, with a part for each, and links to the Asbestos Register so the plan and the register use the same terms.
What Is Included In Our Asbestos Management Plan?
- Workplace and plan details, with the building and plant dates that matter under the Regulation (register, in situ management, demolition and refurbishment)
- Identification of asbestos and ACM: the register reference, how each item was identified, and signs and labels
- Decisions and reasons for managing each item, with a decision record and a risk and controls checklist
- Incident and emergency procedures, with an editable response box and notification notes
- Workers and others doing work involving asbestos: roles and responsibilities, consultation, training and copies given
- Timetable for actions, routine inspections and planned work that could disturb asbestos
- Air monitoring and health monitoring, where they apply
- Removal, licensed removalists, the removal control plan and clearance certificates, with a job record
- Review triggers, a review record and the 5-year review date
- Access to the plan, sign-off and a read-and-understood table for workers and contractors
What You Get
- An editable Microsoft Word plan (10 pages), A4 portrait, to fill in on screen or print
- Short guidance notes on what Queensland law requires in each part
- Tables, tick boxes and date pickers that work in Word
- Business details typed once and filled in on every page, plus a space for your logo
- Amendments, sign-off and document control

Is it compliant with Queensland law?
It's written around Queensland's Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Regulation 2011. Tailor it to your site, consult your workers and review it whenever conditions change; no template can guarantee compliance on its own.
What if it isn't right for my job?
If it doesn't match its description or has a fault, we'll fix it, and if we can't, we'll refund you (or give you store credit if you'd prefer). Check the sample pages first, as we don't refund a change of mind.
