About this template

For fit-out contractors, partition installers and builders who frame light steel stud and track walls. It follows the work in order, from service and asbestos checks and fixing track to cutting, standing studs, framing openings and handing over, and points to separate SWMS for plasterboard fixing and ceiling grids.

Steel stud framing is not high risk construction work by itself. A SWMS is legally required under WHS Regulation s 299 only for high risk construction work, so tick any item that applies, such as falls of more than 2 m or energised electrical services near the work; otherwise it works as a written safe work procedure and task risk assessment.

High Risk Construction Work

No high risk construction work items (WHS Regulation 2011 (Qld) s 291) are pre-ticked, because this work is not high risk construction work by itself. Tick the items that apply to your job, such as a fall risk of more than 2 metres or work where powered mobile plant is moving.
