About this template

Suits garage door installers and builders fitting roller, sectional and tilt doors. It covers the opening check, removing old doors, fitting tracks, hanging panels, springs, openers, safety testing and handover.

Installing a garage door is usually not high risk construction work by itself, so no item is ticked. A SWMS is required by law only for high risk construction work (WHS Regulation s 299), but this template also works as a written safe work method. Tick the items that apply: a risk of a fall of more than 2 metres, energised electrical installations or services, and the disturbance of asbestos.

High Risk Construction Work

None of the high risk construction work items (WHS Regulation 2011 (Qld) s 291) are pre-ticked, because this job is not high risk construction work by itself. Tick any that apply on your site.
