About this template

For patio, outdoor living and carport installers who build aluminium frames and fit insulated roof panels to existing homes and buildings. It follows the job from inspecting the building and locating services to footings, the frame, laying panels, flashings and handover.

Most patio installs are high risk construction work because a person could fall more than 2 metres (WHS Regulation s 291(a)), so the falls item is ticked; the 3 metre figure for housing in ss 306C and 306D changes the fall-prevention rules, not this tick. Tick the others that apply: energised electrical installations or services, powered mobile plant when a forklift or crane lifts packs, and asbestos if old eaves or sheeting could be disturbed.
