About this template
For maintenance crews and contractors who replace idlers and rollers on conveyors at ports, bulk handling sites, recycling plants and factories. It follows the job from the plan and lock-out through access and work at height, lifting the belt clear, removing and fitting rollers, working near adjacent moving belts, and the test run. Full belt changeouts and splicing need separate SWMS.
Idler and roller replacement at an industrial site is not high risk construction work by itself, so WHS Regulation s 299 requires a SWMS only where the work is high risk construction work (for example during a construction project). If it is, tick the reg 291 items that apply, such as a fall of more than 2 m, a confined space or energised electrical installations or services. Otherwise the document works as a written safe work procedure and task risk assessment. Coal mines and mines to which the mining safety Acts apply are outside the WHS Act (schedule 1, part 2, division 1, section 2(1)(a) and (b)).
Similar job: if it is closer to your work, see the Conveyor Belt Changeout SWMS.

High Risk Construction Work
None of the high risk construction work items (WHS Regulation 2011 (Qld) s 291) are pre-ticked, because this job is not high risk construction work by itself. Tick any that apply on your site.
